A feeling of isolation can be a rare luxury in burgeoning Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. So the architects of Sea Mirror on Jumeirah Bay Island set about to create the sensation of seclusion in designing an offering of waterfront mansions that open to unobstructed views of the city skyline and the sea.

Jacobsen Arquitetura and Studio MK27 collaborated with interior designer Patricia Urquiola to accomplish this aim through architecture, siting and strategic landscaping.

Set in a secured and gated community of 18 homes, this contemporary villa combines sustainable, modern design with ultra high-end finishes.

Conceived with both entertaining and personal use in mind, the more than 13,000 square feet of living space centers on an open-plan living-dining-kitchen great room with bar seating.

Retractable walls of glass open to gardens and terraces as well as a swimming pool. The property’s walled and landscaped perimeter adds privacy.

More intimate spaces include a cigar room, a wine cellar and in-home spa facilities. There are five bedroom suites and a total of six bathrooms.

The underground parking showroom can accommodate four cars.

To make home ownership hassle-free, 24-hour concierge service is available for routine maintenance, landscaping and housekeeping, as well as maid service, catering and spa treatments.

Lina Allaoa of Driven Properties is the listing agent for the property. The asking price is about US $19.98 million. A custom furniture package is also available.

Ownership at Sea Mirror includes access to the neighboring Bvlgari Hotel & Resort, which has a private beach club, restaurants, a 46-boat marina and a member’s only yacht club.

Jumeirah Bay Island is a seahorse-shaped artificial island off the shore of Dubai. The more than 6 million-square-foot mixed-use development has private beach access and is reached by way of a bridge.

Driven Properties is an exclusive member of Forbes Global Properties, a consumer marketplace and membership network of elite brokerages selling the world’s most luxurious homes.
